What you should take with you:

1.We recommend that you take your medical insurance including mountaineering cases and a guarantee of responsibility to pay for salvage operations. Some areas can be accessed if tourists have documents which approve their insurance.

2. The weather of the mountains is changeable it maybe cold in the evenings and mornings but sometimes you can get a tan in afternoons. When planning your trip to Kyrgyzstan take into account different types of clothes which will protect you from the wind, rain and sun, although your luggage will mainly depend on the season. In some cases it is advisable to buy clothes and equipment from tourist oriented stores.

The following list with clothes which we recommend that you take with you should be efficient taking into account the limitations for a luggage by airline companies.

Reasonable minimum of clothes and equipment is the guarantee of success during your trips.


Do not forget to take these:

  • Two pairs of good tourist boots it is desirable that they be waterproof, sneakers. If it is the winter season take warm boots. New boots should be worn in.
  • Turtleneck sweater
  • T-shirts appropriate for the season
  • Tracksuit
  • Waterproof windbreaker
  • Shorts
  • Sun glasses
  • Headwear (warm and peaked caps)
  • Five pairs of cotton and two pairs of warm socks
  • A small waterproof bag for documents
  • Ski suit (pantaski and sweat-ski)
  • Bandana
  • Sleeping bag
  • Pocket flash with spare batteries
  • Medicine

Anyway you may buy additional equipment after your arrival in Kyrgyzstan.

Visa issues:

A. Nationals holding passports of the following countries may receive entrance/exit visa in the consular agency of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic at the airport Manas under personal request for one month:

  • Malaysia (with official and tourist purpose up to one month)
  • Republic of Kazakhstan
